The following information is more specific to games crew, however we are asking every volunteer to read the following information as it is beneficial for everyone

Games Crew Expectations:

Christ like attitude – One of the goals for Camp Alive is for our students to repent and be saved and then live a life following Christ. We need our games crew to have already made that decision and to act in a Christ like manner with our youth, staff, and each other at camp.
Full commitment to work hard - We need people committed to work hard, to do their best and to do everything unto the Lord. We are there to make camp happen for the youth, this is NOT our camp (that is why we have Bereans retreat). When the campers are doing free time or sessions, we will be running tournaments, setting up for games, or cleaning up, etc. We need people who take the initiative to work at anything needed. If you see something that needs to get done, you do it. You don’t wait around for someone else to do it or wait to be told, TAKE INITIATIVE!
There will be some free time, however the priority and expectation is that the games crew is making sure games are ready and being run correctly.
Know the games – One of our jobs is to fairly ref the games. We are looking for people who will put in the time to read and understand the camp game rules that will be provided for you and attend the meetings where the rules will be discussed at length. That way when leaders and campers ask questions about the games, our games crew will know how to respond according to the rules of the game. This will also provide consistency and we will avoid situations of staff or campers saying “Well so-and-so told me a different rule then you”.
Energy and Excitement! – Camp requires you to have a lot of energy! Games are an important part of camp, and we need all the positive energy and excitement that you can bring! If you are excited, the kids will follow your example and be hyped up too. We expect our games crew to have and maintain energy and excitement throughout the whole camp as we interact with the students.
Membership - You Must be a member of Believers Fellowship to be part of games crew. If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact the church office for details.

What are you committing to when signing up for games crew:

Games crew planning meeting:

There will be 3 - 4 meetings before camp. Once we have our group we will decide on the meetings that will work the best for everyone

Loading the U-Haul at church when we head to camp:

We will meet at church June 5th before we leave to camp to load up game supplies and other things. This is an all-hands-on deck task. We will head a day early to camp. While the campers arrive at Camp Tejas the 6th, games crew will arrive on the 5th to organize everything and to go over the games a day before the students arrive.

Example of the Daily Camp Schedule:

8:00 – Quiet Time

8:30 – Breakfast

9:15 – Meet to go over the Night Game

9:30 – Start afternoon games set up

12:00– Lunch

1:00 – Afternoon game begins

2:30 – Cleanup afternoon game

3:00 – Run Tournament’s during free time (Basketball, Kajabi, Volleyball, etc.)

6:00 – Dinner

6:45 – Meet to go over the Night Game

7:00 – Night game set up

9:30 – Start night Game

11:30– Clean Up night Game

12:30– Bedtime

Last Day of Camp Duties

Clean up the campus after the campers have left
Loadup the U-Haul
Once we arrive back at BF everyone needs to help unload the U-Haul and put away the supplies
